    Meditations on Landscape III continues to explore the living landscape of the SouthCoast through photography, writing, conversation, and creative endeavors. This year we have even more experiential workshops as we play with the intentionality of creativity and welcome a larger discussion about the role and place of landscape in a rural area.

  • Take a Tour! with Our Writers & Photographers

    Saturday, June 15 1 - 3 pm

    Come by the gallery and team up with Tom Peirce/David Pichette or Lorna Miles/Donna St. Amant who will answer questions, guide you around the gallery, and talk about their work together.

  • Exploring Your Creative Practice with Midori Evans of Midori Creativity

    Sunday, June 16 2 - 4 pm

    In this interactive workshop, you will learn more about your unique style of creative practice. Through ideas, sharing, and deep questions, you will find yourself with a clearer path to having the daily wonder of creativity in your life.

  • Agri Landscape Explorations

    with Facilitator Dee Levanti of Ivory Silo Farm

    Tuesday, June 18 5:30 - 7 pm

    Meditations on Landscape is about loving and appreciating our local landscapes. We celebrate our attachment to this place and how we feel we belong here. In agri-landscapes like this one, based on a long history of agriculture, landscape governance is vital so that people work together to enhance conservation, sustainable agriculture, and human wellbeing. Join this rich and vitally important conversation. The event will be hosted like a salon discussion with an introductory brief presentation followed by facilitated small group conversation and optional writing prompts.

  • Guided Writing at Meditations on Landscape

    Wednesday, June 19 4 - 6 pm

    Come join members of the Westport Writing Group for some guided prompt-driven exercises based on the work in the gallery. If you’ve been yearning to do more writing lately or want to connect with an amazing group of writers, come on over!

  • Wednesday, June 19 6 - 7:30 pm

    Come by the gallery to join Bea Gormley and Stefanie Toner who will answer questions, guide you around the gallery, and talk about their work together.

  • Tips and Tricks for iphone Photography

    Thursday, June 20 5 - 7 pm

    John Marsula, Meditations steering committee member, and other participating photographers open your eyes to the capabilities inside your Apple Iphone! Join us for a fun and exploratory workshop where you will play with settings, learn more about the camera options for the Apple Iphone, and enjoy an impromptu community photo shoot!

  • The Landscape About Us Readings with the Westport Writers Group

    Friday June 21st from 5:30 - 7 pm

    Writers from the SouthCoast will share their work with readings from the recently published South Coast anthology, The Landscape About Us

  • Making Creative Connections – Creativity Matters!

    with students from Our Sisters’ School

    Saturday, June 22 1 - 3 pm

    Students from Our Sisters’ School will discuss their artwork and join Midori Creativity and Meditations participants in a playful celebration of creativity.Visit different stations around the gallery to talk to Our Sisters’ school participants, play in different creative mediums, and build a community Creativity Matters board!
