I was recently featured on the We Are Here podcast! We discussed the changing role of creativity in the pandemic, and the importance of continuing to connect with community as South Coast MA entrepreneurs despite our necessary distance from one another.
Visit for an engaging conversation on creativity in your life and business.
We thrive on sharing our experience, knowledge, and resources to help you be more creative in your daily life, whether you are a working artist, have an unfinished creative project, or are someone wanting to reclaim your creative soul.
Wherever you are in the creative process is just fine! Creativity coaching starts where you are and takes you to the next step. Our mission is to create meaning, however you define it. Our promise is that we will guide you as you redefine your creative priorities and take action on those visionary dreams!
Your creative success is our business. Getting that project off the ground, finding a new direction, or finally signing up for those painting lessons you've been putting off for years. You will feel inspired, motivated, and connected!
“People need creative ways to reconnect with themselves after this past year and this spring, we’re going to give it to them,” says Midori Evans, Founder of Midori Creativity and certified creativity coach.
Midori Creativity is among more than two dozen local arts organizations that are launching an innovative celebration of the arts across the South Coast region in May 2021. SouthCoast Spring Arts will present a 10-day festival offering creative and affordable art and cultural events in communities across the region, from Fall River to Wareham.
The inspiration for this undertaking was to continue the spirit of ArtWeek MA, a community program of the Boch Center, which is evaluating when their programming will resume in light of the COVID-19 crisis.
Last spring, the Marion Art Center (MAC) found themselves having to shelve their creative ArtWeek events -- from line dancing to beer tasting, acrobats and juggling to poetry slams -- which had been part of the Boch Center’s ArtWeek MA. When it was announced that the Boch Center would be evaluating its programming in 2021, the MAC’s executive director and board wondered how they could recalibrate and move forward to evoke the spirit of ArtWeek.
Like the Pied Piper, the MAC beckoned many individuals and organizations in the South Coast art world and found them eager to jump on board. Midori Creativity is offering three virtual workshops: an Artists Share evening, a salon discussion about Creativity and Walking, and Jazz it Up!, a deep look at artistic choices and changing up your artistic process. Collectively, SouthCoast Spring Arts has planned dozens of diverse events, including both in person and virtual events. Already in the lineup: plein air painting, a living history architecture walking tour, a walking book club, outdoor concerts, and an exhibit on Art as Fashion/Fashion as Art. Festival events run from May 7 to May 16 while Midori Creativity events happen on May 8, May 11, and May 13.
People of all ages are invited to ignite their creative spirits and celebrate SouthCoast Spring Arts. Find the events available near you or join a virtual event wherever you are by visiting southcoastspringarts.org.
